"Orientalistische Literaturzeitung" (OLZ) is the oldest international review of the entire field of Oriental studies. Founded in 1898, the journal widened it's profile according to the development of research and takes into consideration all epochs.

In articles and reviews recent monographs of the entire field of Oriental studies are critically discussed. The fascicles start with essays on special problems in these fields of research. Thus a comprehensive information is given on the current state of research.
